The Horse Heaven Hills AVA is a region that holds a special place in our hearts at Greetings Wine. Named by cowboy James Kinney in 1857, the area is home to over one quarter of Washington’s planted acreage and is particularly well-suited for growing Cabernet Sauvignon. The region’s warmer climate, with an average of 16 hours of sunlight and only eight inches of rainfall, stresses the vines to yield robust and concentrated flavors in the grapes. At Greetings Wine, we love the Horse Heaven Hills for the wild and unexpected voluptuous fruit and texture that it brings to our Cabernet Sauvignon. Our 2019 vintage, with its all-natural production, small-lots, and just enough oak for interest on the palate, is a deep breath of fresh perspective and an invitation to explore, savor, and appreciate the remarkable journey that each bottle represents.
